Welcome to part two about the spell of money and how to not be broke. Financial freedom is part of gaining independence and being self-sufficient. This is virtually impossible if you are ignorant of what money is, how the bank works, and do not know how to get out of the system that is choke holding you. This is covered in part 1, click here to read now.
Since we have covered the 3 basics for money, here comes the nitty gritty about the psychology and consumerism… Money enslaves the ego and robs the subconscious.
What is the Ego? Ego is a sense of who you are relating to your reality. The function of your ego is to ground you from not doing what you want to do, when you want (your instincts); as well as, feeling too moralistic and over critical. The ego is not bad. It is the “reality” that has been created by the system that has distorted your use of your ego, your sense of self and the perception of the real world. They do this to us from the time we are born. Our ego has been attacked by anything man-made. You have a sense of who you are through your clothes, body type, job, education, car, housing, postcode, relationships, social class, culture and the social labels e.g. gay, Black, British. Our ego get anchored to these illusions. The biggest illusion though is money.
I am confident that you can begin to see through the system’s spell. They make you believe get the best education then you will get the best job as an employee, you can climb the ladder to the top, be a good citizen and pay your taxes, buy a massive house, buy the sexiest cars, go out and spend your money to attract friends/partners, make children, get a six pack, share your life on social media, connect to technology, wear brand names if you want to fit in, retire and enjoy the last 10 to 30 years of life living off a pension that they control how much get. It doesn’t matter if you are poor or rich, the game is rigged so you always want more money otherwise you are worthless. The reality we live in says “you are only as valuable as your bank account”.
It is through the ego’s need to be grounded in “reality” that they use against us to program us to over-consume rather than using it to navigate us through nature (where we should be living) to survive independently. The Latin word for con means together or with and sume means take. Withtake means to rebuke or punish. This is why after you buy a £200 shoes, the pleasure quickly turns to regret and emptiness. Then what do you do to get over it? You go and “treat” yourself with a takeaway or go and watch TV, consuming again. Thus making us a slave. In the Willie Lynch letter, the first thing he says to do to make a slave is, “reduce them from their natural state in nature. Whereas nature provides them with the natural capacity to take care of their offspring, we break that natural string of independence from them and thereby create a dependency status, so that we may be able to get from them useful production for our business and pleasure.” I call this egonomics.
Now for the subconscious mind and spending money. The subconscious mind is not being fully aware but retains all the information we are perceiving without effort. Its function is to reduce all the data in to impulses which then influences all of our feelings and actions. I call it in therapy, the inner child, because you cannot reason with it, it has not concept of time, money,or a linear reality.
Have you ever wondered what deodorant has to do with sexual attraction? They have nothing to with each other (ironically, deodorant actually masks your sex pheromones and is linked to cancer in the lymph nodes). However, your subconscious:
- a) do not know the difference between reality and fiction
- b) your sexual impulse is the most powerful drive for emotions and behaviour.
Advertisement bypasses the rational part of your mind, the conscious mind, with making connections of their brand with your emotions. Ever wondered why supermarkets aren’t silent? It is because music is the easiest medium use to avoid the conscious’s raider and go straight to influencing how you feel. They tend to evoke happiness and love because you will buy more. The system studies our mind and knows how to rob it from making rational decisions. This is the engineering of artificial feelings and artificial connections to things that do not belong in our natural environment.
I hope you are beginning to see the monetary system for what it is and the mass manipulation is having on our human rights to think for ourselves and not to be a slave. If this information makes you angry, then good because my final part of this series is going deeper with breaking down the seven principles of how they make your consumerism into an invisible prison without you even knowing and how you can break free and not be broke in the process.
May you live long and prosperous.
